Meet Richard
A prosecutor. A public servant. A neighbor.
Richard Braun is running for District Attorney to serve the Atlantic Judicial Circuit with fairness, accountability, and respect for every community.
Experience that understands the work — and the people it serves.
Richard E. Braun Jr. is a lifelong resident of the Atlantic Judicial Circuit and a seventh-generation Liberty Countian. His connection to the region began in Liberty County, where he graduated from Bradwell Institute as a Georgia Scholar and National Merit Finalist.
For more than 25 years, Richard’s legal and public-service career has taken him from criminal prosecution to private trial practice, municipal leadership, and back to the courtroom. That range of experience has given him a practical understanding of how prosecutors, courts, local governments, law enforcement, and communities must work together.
Today, he serves as the elected Solicitor-General of McIntosh County and as Deputy Chief Assistant District Attorney in Glynn County. He is running for District Attorney to bring experienced, steady leadership to all six counties of the Atlantic Judicial Circuit.

A record built in the courtroom and the community.
Richard’s career follows a clear through-line: prosecuting cases, representing local institutions, managing public organizations, and leading with accountability.
